Ten months have come and gone, stretching on forever, yet over all too soon.
I have graduated from Americorps NCCC Class XIV.

It feels weird coming back home.
Life in the Corps is eventful and dynamic. There's always more to be done, something else to finish or something that can be improved upon. You constantly change and improve yourself, and you constantly strive to change and improve all that you touch. You make a difference and see the impact. You see change happen.

But outside the Corps... outside, life seems static.
I come back home and nothing seems to have changed.

This is going to take some getting used to.

I'll start uploading photos when I get a chance.

Practice, practice, practice.

Practice.

It's something I need to do. I've noticed that the quality of my work hasn't been progressing and in some certain cases, regressing.

I want to blame joining Americorps for my lack of drawing. There's nothing like waking up early to go do physical labor for 8 hours, then coming home to do an hour of physical training followed by a hour and a half meeting.
Still... that doesn't eat up all my free time during week, and considering I want to make art my profession, that means I need to practice.

Therefor, I have resolved to set aside at least half an hour every other day to practice specific things (hands, shading, perspective, etc.), and then just work on anything for at least another half hour.
Unless have have no materials to work with (which is unlikely), I will practice. If that means using a ballpoint pen and a placemat, so be it.

I will practice.
